Manning Chapel Choir: Open Rehearsal

The Chapel Choir is welcoming new members in all sections (Sop, Alto, Ten, Bass) for the coming school year. The choir will be holding two "open rehearsals" on Thursday, September 5 and Thursday, September 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Chapel basement.
The Chapel Choir is a small and very active ensemble that provides music and music leadership for University Chapel services, the annual Christmas and end-of-term concerts, as well as other special events.
This is an excellent music opportunity for a person with at least a little bit of choir experience (even from grade school), and a basic ability to read or follow sheet music. There is no requirement of affiliation with a faith or religious expression, although respect for such is important. The choir is a wholly welcoming and affirming community and sings a lot of music, expectations are high, but never at the expense of a supportive environment.
There is a very wide range of musical styles, from Renaissance to Sting, hymns to Gregorian chant. The choir rehearses Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. with a general Sunday commitment from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
