Join Dr. Dan Lametti in an engaging 30 minute lecture focused on how large language models work, what they're good at, and what they do poorly. How, in combination with what we know about learning and memory, students can use large language models as tools to facilitate - but not replace - their learning. Ethical issues related to AI use, such as bias in AI output and the impact of AI training on the climate crisis will also be discussed.
